The word 'Ghaughar' refers to a village. Trekkers who want to live a primitive lifestyle for a while engaging the activities done by the villagers can be a perfect choice. Staying in the homes of the villagers, interested trekkers can participate in the daily tasks as working in the field, grazing the cattle, milking them, and more.

After breakfast, our journey commences driving towards Jhumle Danda from Kathmandu. Spending approximately 3 hours, we arrive at Jhumle. After some refreshments, we get our lunch. Exploring around here, we hike down towards Karkigaun. Walking around 2 hours, we reach our destination. On the way, there is a river with fresh water and you can swim there.
This is an exploration day of the surroundings. After breakfast, we go for visiting the village, inhabitants, jungle, farmlands, rice/wheat fields, and more. You can understand the true local culture and lifestyle today.
With the picturesque views of mountains, hills, landscapes, and terrains we spend the whole day with locals. Visiting the jungle nearby you can explore the diverse flora and fauna around.
The journey continues after the first meal in our homestay. Walking at a comfortable pace with the picturesque views of local settlements, hills, jungles, and pristine waterfalls we reach Dandagaun spending more or less five hours.
If your body feels hot during the trek, you can bathe/swim in the natural swimming ponds/streams.
After breakfast, we ascend to Tinsure hill. This is the vantage point that offers the all-encompassing views of the hills, territories, lustrous greeneries, and gleaming peaks as Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, and their neighboring peaks.
We enjoy the view and nature around which is peaceful, less crowded and yet to be modernized. Capturing the views and surroundings, we hike down to Danda Gaun and stay overnight there.
Our journey continues to Arughat today. It's all way down. On course, we shall pass the dense forest of pine, oaks, rhododendron, and several others. Different ethnic settlements, springs, gorges, suspension bridges, rice fields, and magnificent scenic places should be passed during the journey today.
After a 3-4 hours' walk, we reach Arughat. It is a bit developed area. We are check-in in one of the teahouses for an overnight stay. The rest of the day, we wander around the bazaar exploring the people and nature.
Driving in the hillside of Nepal always becomes scenic. Using the local bus, we drive to Gorkha Bazaar. From the windowpane of the bus, you will glimpse different landscapes, topographies, rivers, waterfalls, religious and cultural monuments.
Reaching our destination, we check in the lodge and get some refreshments. The rest of the day we spend exploring religious and historical shrines around the town.
Early morning, we hike to Gorkha Durbar. It is a palace which was built in the 16th century using perfect Newari architecture and carvings. Art and style are vividly combined while building it.
This durbar carries a historical importance as well. It is the birthplace of former King Prithivi Narayan Shah who unified Nepal is from small kingdoms. Not only these it is the vantage point of Trishuli valley and sky-high peaks of Ganesh, Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges. Being back, we get our lunch and drive back to Kathmandu using a private car/HiAce/bus
