Trip Overview

Taking about 24 days to complete, our Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is a one kind trek that will take you to the base camp of Mt. Everest- the world’s highest mountain by following a classic Himalayan trekking trail used by the legendary mountaineer duo- Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary who became the first people to climb to the summit of Mt. Everest in 1953. So, if you want to pursue in the footsteps of these legendary mountaineers then you can solely do so by joining our Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek.

Situated at the eastern hilly region of Nepal, Jiri is a small town where you can reach by taking a 7-hour long bus drive and from here you will begin your 24 days adventure. In the beginning phase of our trek, we will need to pass through a couple of indigenous villages such as Bandar, Sete, Junbesi, Nunthala, Khari Khola, and Puiyan. While doing so, trekkers get the explicit opportunity to explore some of the pristine yet awe-inspiring natural landscapes of Nepal covered with lush green forests which serve as a home to several rare wild animals and birds.

From Puiyan village we slowly begin to head towards Phakding village and connect with the main trekking trail of Everest Base Camp. Then, we continue ascending higher to Namche Bazaar which is a favorite touristic site for trekkers who wish to reach Everest Base Camp by foot.

Not just that but, spending an extra day in Namche Bazaar is highly recommended as it helps trekkers to acclimatize and adjust their internal organs to cope with the surrounding environment of such high altitudes. From Namche, our trail will lead us to Tengboche and Dingboche villages which are traditional Sherpa villages located en-route to EBC.

Last but not the least, trekkers will reach Everest Base Camp the next day after Lobuche from Dingboche village. You can explore the entire base camp and feel the excitement of standing at the base camp of Mt. Everest. In addition to that, you will also be able to hike up to Kalapatthar for the most close-up view of Mt. Everest and other surrounding snowcapped mountains including Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Nuptse. And that my friend will be an experience, you will never forget.
