The next myth is related to Manju Shree. People say that once Manjushree, an ancient saint from China came to Kathmandu and saw the lamps burning in the Swyambhunath. Reaching there he had to drain out the water of the whole valley. Then he found Chobhar, the best place to do it. With his magical sword, he cut the ridge and water drain out. After that only he reached Swyambhunath and covered that lamp with a stupa. Subsequently, the valley became habitable.
